
About Vicki
Red-headed, left-handed, and raised in the south, Vicki Montet is an Emmy award winning journalist with decades of experience as a TV news writer, reporter, producer, and executive. In 2021 she received a Lifetime Achievement Emmy for that work. As a debut novelist, she just completed her first book, The French Descendant.
She is a 2023 and 2022 San Francisco Writers’ Conference Named Finalist and most recently her first manuscript was honored by the Atlanta Writers Club at their 2023 spring conference. Having written, reported, produced and managed television news all her life, she writes from experience. She currently lives and works for CNN Newsource in her hometown of Atlanta and splits her time between there and the western North Carolina mountains. She has family in Louisiana and Georgia.
She holds a North Carolina Real Estate License and is an avid traveler for both work and play. She’s also an experienced photographer who can often be found in the Western North Carolina Mountains or in the Central American jungles chasing exotic birds with a long lens camera.
